Getting started is about more than paperwork and processes – it’s about finding your place with people who celebrate who you are.
Who We Serve
• Adults 18 years and older
• Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, Autism, IDD, and related conditions
• Individuals with Section 21 or Section 29 waiver services and an assigned case manager

Taking the Next Step Together
Our Process
Step 1: Initial Contact
Contact us to discuss your needs and learn about our services.

Step 2: Schedule Your Visit
We’ll arrange a personalized tour at your preferred location where you’ll:
• Meet our welcoming team and current program participants
• Tour our facilities and see our programs in action
• Receive a calendar of monthly activities
• Learn about our unique offerings, including funded programming, annual Funtown trips, special events like Halloween and Valentine’s dances, and enhanced Special Olympics experience with hotel accommodations
• Discuss flexible scheduling options (2-5 days per week)
• Learn about transportation services (available if you live within our service area)
Step 3: Experience a Free Trial Day
After your initial visit, we’ll schedule a complimentary trial day where you can:
• Experience what a typical day looks like
• Be paired with a buddy/mentor from our community
• See if our program feels like the right fit
• Allow our team and current participants to get to know you
Important: You’ll need to provide your own transportation to and from your trial day.
During this step, we’ll also complete initial paperwork, including referral forms and releases.
Step 4: Moving Forward Together
If everyone feels it’s a good match, we’ll:
• Discuss your preferred attendance schedule
• Complete all necessary enrollment paperwork
• Work with your case manager to open your plan in Evergreen
• Submit everything for state approval (typically takes 7-14 days)
• Contact you with your official start date once approved
What to Expect on Your First Day
Before You Arrive: Your Assistant Director will contact you with your start date and any final details you need to know.
Your First Day Will Include:
• Warm welcome from your new community
• Introduction to staff and program participants
• Orientation to daily routines and activities
• Getting settled into your new schedule
Getting Comfortable: Our staff and current participants work together to help new members feel welcome and supported. You’ll have mentors and friends ready to help you adjust and feel at home.
